about

Website: http://www.heromlabs.com

Heromlabs Records starts on january 2001 with only one objective, helping unkown projects to have the opportunity to be listened all around the world. Their headquarters are established in Mexico city.

Fabián Ramírez runs the netlabel and various of his projects (like 101001010101 [Noise], Dr. Herom [Hardcore Techno], Obscure Visions [Dark Ambient]) are part of the catalogue. Some other projects as Epsilon Eridani [Dark Ambient] and Electronik Brain Stimulation [Techno Trance] are still growing the number of releases.

We are focus on Hardcore, Noise, Ambient, Dark Ambient, Experimental & IDM. But we know clearly that any other genre is welcome in this netlabel.

2009: Currently we have 12 albums, but the list continues raising. Since September 23, 2009 we welcome to new 2 projects: Cluster One with deep sounds of experimental ambient, and Malstrom, a dark ambient with the evil touch that categorizes the netlabel projects.

This is just the beginnig, there are still much to write ...

101001010101 [México]

Real name: Fabián Ramírez M.

Genre: Noise, Noise-Ambient, Rhythmic Noise. This Mexican project began in February 2002. 101001010101 started his production with experimental noise tracks without rhythm. But now he has some rhythmic noise tracks. He was influenced by a lot of artist, like Ah Cama-Sotz, Hair Police and all artists from Ant-Zen. 101001010101 could describe his noise, as inspiration in people that he hate, so his music is full of this...it is the reason of you could feel angry or with the sensation to kick somebody. Cluster One [Netherlands]

Real name: William Mathijsen

Genre: Dark Ambient, Experimental. He is 22 years old, living in The Netherlands. He started composing and producing music at the age of 12. He begun his musical carreer looping Rave/Jungle/Hiphop with the so called easy music creation tools Ejay and Musicmaker. It took him up to 5 years understanding how to compose his own electronic writings, and put that to a serious level. While being influenced by Richard D James (Aphex Twin) he cames up with his first demo (EP/MCD) "Emperium" (2004). This first creation was sounding like Minimal/Acid/Experimental. Later he decided to change the music style into a more dark yet euphoric positive sound. All this is and became CLUSTER ONE. While normally not releasing CLUSTER ONE's tracks for free, he is willing to distribute "Deep Ambient Music" (compilation of tracks made during 2005-2008) as an introduction offer for a larger scale of people around the world.

Electronik Brain Stimulation [México]

Real name: Juan Pablo Valle

Genre: Progressive Trance, Hard Trance, Techno Trance.

Electronik Brain Stimulation is one of the most creative projects in the mexican escene. Juan Pablo Valle left the tapes behind in 1998 to start creating music with a computer and a synthesizer. Tracks like "The World Of God", "Elevame al Cielo", "Abril", "I Love You" and many others, are recognized instantly by his fans. Juan Pablo has been on stage only once with EBS playing all this tunes, but he prefers composing tons of good melodies on his studio. This is the very first time his music is available on a netlabel, so don't hesitate and make your own EBS collection!

Epsilon Eridani [México]

Real name: Juan Pablo Valle

Genre: Ambient, Dark Ambient. Juan Pablo Valle was better known as Dr. Electro when he was part of the first mexican hardcore collective called Gabbermex at the beginning of this decade. With his last project, Epsilon Eridani, he is producing dark drones and dark ambient. His first EP called "I Remember How We Recorded The Moon Landing Hoax In An Enormous Cave", released in 2008, was immediately part of the german netlabel Grundruck's catalogue.

Malstrom [USA]

Real name: ???? Age: 23

Genre: Dark Ambient. Maelstrom has played his role in the black metal underground since 2004, when he formed the black metal band Angelcide (initially as the sole member). After many releases with Angelcide and many other black metal bands as well (including Whorde, Abazagorath, Misanthropy Legion amongst others), Maelstrom broke away from the metal genre to embark on a new musical journey with no limits and no template. The dark ambient solo project MALSTROM (a slightly spelling of the pseudonym, named after the Reason 4 synthesizer) was formed in the first few weeks of 2009, and the debut album "Deceptions" was recorded shortly after in Putney, Vermont. Deceptions was a very dark and personal journey with a horror movie like sound, a haunting and chilling album that far out did the original intended vision. 2 E.P.s were recorded later in the year. The first, "Dark Future," was recorded during time spent in Bangor, Maine, and is a haunting depiction of a terrifying future. It employed some space-like elements to fit the theme, and introduced a drone influence that would carry on into the next recording. The next recording, the Blades E.P. (intended to be a split with the drone band Ouroboros Broken, which Maelstrom writes lyrics for), was done at the New Jersey shore and is a full out and compelling drone album based on the film "Blade Runner" that further continues the dark sound of Malstrom into new territory. Both will see release at the end of 2009 or the beginning of 2010. No one knows what direction the Malstrom project will take next, as the music seems to at times write itself. One thing is certain though- that anything is possible in the dark world of Malstrom.

Obscure Visions [México]

Real name: Fabián Ramírez M.

Genre: Ambient, Dark Ambient. That project began in October 2003 with the necessity to transmit his bad dreams in some ambient tracks. His tracks are so experimental, with dark and surrounding atmospheres that they will make reality unreal situations. He was influenced by a lot of artist, like Aghast or C17H19NO3. In fact, “Visions of the place that we visited before” reflects a history experimented by the producer. Obscure Visions is experimenting with Drone sounds for his new album.
