Intelligent Machinery has fulfilled many roles over the years and its most recent incarnation was that of a netlabel. Generally a netlabel is one or two guys who post some mp3s on the internet and then spam email lists and message boards to promote the mp3s they just put online. Well its not a bad model, but we at Intelligent Machinery decided to take a less product-oriented approach and focus more on content-oriented approach. Enter a small group of like-minded artists/producers/noise makers who wanted to create a commonwealth of thoughts, ideas, inspiration and, of course, sound. Far more than just a repository of mp3s, Intelligent Machinery is now a dynamic organism of collaborations, projects and ideas.
