Knobtweakers began life as an MP3 Blog in 2005, and quickly grew to become an important resource for finding quality netlabel music releases. It also became an important resource for DJs in need of fresh material, and major label artists looking to tap into the world-wide network of Knobtweakers DJs.
In late 2005, Knobtweakers Radio was launched, and Knobtweakers picked up a weekly Saturday night residency at Club Halo in Salt Lake City.
Knobtweakers began producing netlabel compilations in order to highlight the best musicians in the netlabel community, and the most innovative and daring major label artists, side-by-side.
Mission statement: To support and promote electronic music artists, and demonstrate to the world the valuable contribution that electronic music can make to global culture.
Core Objectives:
- Share our love of electronic music with everybody who displays an
interest
- Promote a positive image in the media of electronic music culture
- Help electronic music artists and performers reach a wider audience,
and receive compensation for their work
- Rally the electronic music community around humanitarian causes
- Engage in harm reduction, and disseminate facts about drugs, heat
exhaustion, hearing loss, and other night-life hazards
